This is where I live

In un suo recente articolo Beppe Severgnini ha definito Trieste come il "sud del nord, il nord del sud, l'est dell'ovest e l'ovest dell'est".

Ed è proprio per questo che amo questa città. Mi assomiglia. Ogni giorno deve fare i conti con la sua identità, fatta di culture, lingue e religioni diverse. Non sono nata qui, ma il 50% (più o meno) del mio albero genealogico affonda le sue radici qui.

Recently, Beppe Severgnini has written an article in which he defines Trieste as "the northern's south, the suthern's north, the eastern's west, and the western's east".This is why I love it. It's a city that resembles me. Everyday it has to deal with it's identity, made of different languages, cultures and religions. This is not where I was born, but 50% (more or less) of my genealogic tree sinks its roots here.
